The Kol Hator Scenario – What Will Bring the Sinners of Israel to Repent
The sanctification of Hashem in the eyes of the Gentiles will affect the sinners of Israel, and they will repent of their evil ways.
When they see that the Gentiles recognize the power of Hashem towards his nation, they will be embarrassed and return to Hashem with recognition and sanctification of Hashem. This is what is meant by the verse regarding the return of the captivity of Zion: “then among the Gentiles it will be said, ‘Hashem has done great things for them.’” “Hashem has done great things for us” [Ps. 126:2-3]. That is to say, that after the Gentiles recognize the great actions that Hashem does with Israel, then all of Israel, even those of small faith – will say”- Hashem has done great things for us”.
Comment by Shlomo Moshe Scheinman: As a preliminary stage of being worthy of Hashem doing great things for us, I have chosen at times to publish the politically incorrect stance on issues that might anger Jews who are on the liberal or spiritual left. I do this with the knowledge that no matter what I say I have a limited ability to bring back the Jewish people to the proper path and we need Hashem’s miraculous intervention to really get the job done well. When a critical mass of Jews have a proper outlook on Torah and on how to make Hashem the King of the World, that is to say, when we make ourselves a vessel to receive Divine Abundance, then we increase our chances of getting that intervention.
My attempt to get the truth out, even if might annoy some of my fellow Jews, is my personal effort to make the religious community more worthy to get the Divine Assistance it desperately needs.
Now if someone has a better method than me, I invite him or her to try it out. Maybe that better method, which I did not think about will also improve my message.
In the article Miracles of the Gulf War, I have also brought up this repentance scenario. See there for details.
