Rabbi Alexander Hool’s Viewpoint Regarding how to Synchronize Biblical Chronology with Secular Egyptian Chronology

Note from the editor: There are other audios at https://podtail.com/en/podcast/seforimchatter/with-r-alex-hool-discussing-his-new-book-pharaoh-b/. The editor of vilnagaon.org has not listened to them and therefore it should be made clear there is no implied endorsement of the other audios.

Regarding who was the Pharaoh of the Exodus the editor of vilnagaon.org has heard several competing theories and does not have sufficient expertise on this issue to endorse any particular opinion.

Rabbi Hool uses the Sothic Calendar and Lunar observations in ancient Egyptian sources and evidence of the plague of boils on certain mummies (and a few other proofs) to conclude that certain dynasties ruled Egypt at the same time and not one after another, thus producing a shorter period of rule by the Pharaohs and changing the chronology significantly.

The only Biblical source that Egypt might have had more than one king at the same time, I found in the book of II Kings Chapter 7 verse 6, where Egypt is described as having kings (in the plural form) which Aram feared were about to attack the camp of Aram.

With this in mind, I present again the link for this 70 minute lecture:
