Tens of millions of locusts have spread throughout Egypt causing heavy economic damage to crops.
The Kipa Web Site reports that there is a concern that the locusts will cause billions of dollars to Egyptian agriculture. The adult locust can “fly” more than 160 kilometers per day, given appropriate weather conditions and it can eat more vegetables or leaves than its body weight.
